Circulation Policy

Borrowing Privileges

Attorneys who are current members of the California State Bar and who either live in or have an office in San Joaquin County may borrow library materials. Attorneys must present proof of bar membership, a valid photo ID and proof of residency or an office location in San Joaquin County at the time of registration. P.O. Boxes cannot be accepted as proof of a San Joaquin County address.

Non-Circulating Materials

Case reporters, digests, citators, dictionaries, encyclopedias, code books, and rare materials do not circulate.  The index volume of a multi-volume set does not circulate.

Loan Period

Borrowers may check out up to 10 items for three days. One renewal for an additional three days is permitted.

Overdue Fines and Replacement Costs

Overdue fines are $10 per day per item. Patrons who lose library materials will be charged the replacement cost of the material plus a $25 processing fee per item.
